Comfortable wooden clogs made of natural materials. We craft all clogs by hand in our factory in Sweden. This color is NUBUCK leather – a leather similar to suede with its soft and velvety touch, although nubuck is known to be more durable.
'Why Sandgrens?' You may ask. The short answer is that clogs is our passion. At Sandgrens, the art of clog making has been passed down to our next clog master for generations and we take much pride in that. We believe craftmanship is something worth holding onto - that is why each of our clogs is still handcrafted at our factory in the deep forests of Småland, Sweden, with the finest leathers and the highest quality wooden bases available. As a result, Sandgrens clogs are clogs you will love for years and years to come.
We know, sizing can be tricky sometimes. That is why we created our very own size guide to help you find your Sandgrens size. Please follow the steps to ensure proper fit. Many people have slightly different sized feet, so we ask you to measure both feet and take the longest measurement.
We at Sandgrens think that making clogs is an art form worth holding onto, which is why we still create all our clogs by hand in Sweden. We believe in natural materials and in a timeless design that never goes out of style. Sandgrens is one of the few original clog manufacturers to still be made in Sweden. Your clogs will be completely unique, as no two pairs that leave our factory are identical - a result of the handcraftsmanship done by our clog masters.
We recommend wearing your clogs for a couple of hours per day over the course of a few days to get a good start of the break-in process. Avoid using water or any heat source to speed up the break-in, as this will damage the leather.
Vegetable tanned leather is the purest form of tanned leather, and may be more rigid initially but will break in. Nude-colored vegetable tanned leather will darken over time with exposure to sunlight, which is a sign of quality. Nubuck is naturally sensitive to water, so your clogs should not be worn in the rain. Proper care, such as using a horsehair brush, will help your nubuck clogs last a lifetime.
The wood base of your clogs should not be worn in heavy rain, as it may swell. Wood is a fragile material subject to chips and cracks, which can be repaired with glue or sandpaper.
